Updating information for my.delaware.gov
If you have a need to change your personal email address that you use for login to My.Delaware.gov then you will need to follow theses steps.
How it works:
The personal email address you provide to the HR department serves as the username for your My.Delaware.gov account. This site managed by the state of Delaware is the personal record site for your pay stubs, State tax w-2 information and access to your state sponsored benefits. The login info is your personal information do not register with your school email address, as the state will not match you up with the data that HR has entered into the State PHRST system (the State's Personnel system).
If you have a need to change the personal email account (perhaps due to email being hacked, or change in email address selected), please provide the HR department with your new personal email address you wish to use. Once the HR department has updated your information, the PHRST system can take up to 48 hours to synchronize with the my.delaware.gov website. After the 48 hour or more period has occurred, you will need to re-register at mt.delaware.gov website using your new email address and setting up a new password. Your old login will no longer synchronize your information. If you setup yur new my.delaware.gov account before the 48 hour period you will not see your PHRST data until the synchronization completes. It is best to process an update when you do not have any pending needs to login and see your personal information, (like the need to download your w-2 or a pay stub, or access benefit info)
Even if your personal email account is compromised, you can still login to my.delaware.gov with your old email address, as the system does not use your email to actually login, the old email address is just the username for the state system. You should be able to login with your my.delaware.gov password and access your state stuff.
We recommend you login and get whatever info you need from your current account (w-2 pay stuff info) before you provide HR with the new personal email address, so you can get your info and not experience the sync delay after HR updates your account.
